Our registered dietitian is available free of charge to meet with cancer patients and their families to help develop a healthy and appetizing eating strategy. In fact, our dietitian Kimberly recently led a grocery store tour to do just that. Our first SHOP SMART to Fight Cancer was held Wednesday, January 27th. The next SHOP SMART to Fight Cancer will be held in mid or late February. Check our website often for up-to-date information.
Cancer is a struggle that no one should have to face alone. As cold, winter weather is upon us, you may know someone who could use a bit of cheer. How about a nice, warm hat to brighten a special someone's day? These beautiful, hand-knit hats are available free of charge here at our resource center.
We invite you to visit our new location at 310 25th Avenue North, Suite 103, at the corner of 25th and Charlotte Avenue, in Nashville, TN. It’s still convenient, with easy ground-level access. And as always, our Cancer Resource Center is free to anyone touched by a cancer diagnosis, regardless of treatment facility. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Minnie Pearl was the lovable comedienne who appeared on The Grand Ole Opry and Hee Haw and greeted everyone with arms flung wide and a shrill “How-Deeeee!” Her broad embrace and unwavering sense of joy and hopefulness are timeless qualities that the MPCF adopted as its own when Sarah Cannon, the character’s creator and a cancer survivor herself who knew the priceless value of positive support.
Believing an informed survivor is an empowered survivor, The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation maintains an extensive library of books, brochures and other information related to various forms of cancer as well as to treatment, diet, counseling and other subjects. The library is free of charge and open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation (MPCF) is your entry to a full range of services, support and information about cancer, its treatment and survivorship. We are here for men and women, for families and friends, for the individual and the community. We are the doorway to hope and support.
We routinely feature a courageous cancer patient, caregiver, volunteer or friend of the MPCF who reflects our mission and personifies hope and support.
